We ran 125 live map searches from 25 points around Southport and Indianapolis. Robinsons showed up in 4, all at one point. But nobody runs away with it: 42 different businesses hold a number one spot somewhere on the grid. The site's basics are sound. What it lacks is reach.
The short version. The Google profile is claimed and the website's basics are sound, but Robinsons is missing from nearly every map search in the metro and from the first 50 organic results for every term we checked. Eight reviews against hundreds is the clearest gap. The site publishes 100 near-identical town pages and none for Indianapolis, the market that matters most, and the town pages' menu links lead to a 404 on the page we tested. Meanwhile the site does not force HTTPS and 8 of the 9 pages in its sitemap redirect to other addresses. Because 42 businesses split the top spots, no single one dominates the grid, which leaves room to compete.
Twenty five points across the metro, 3.5 miles apart, covering Southport in the south to the north side of Indianapolis. Each circle is colored by the business Google put first there for "hvac repair". Robinsons is the ringed point.
One card per search term. Each tile is one point, colored by who Google ranked first there. The colors change from tile to tile, which is the finding: this market is fragmented, not locked up.
42 different businesses hold at least one number one spot. The eight shown hold 48 of 125.

A site: check shows Google estimates 71 results for the domain. The sitemap lists 9 URLs; our crawl and Google both show many more.
The OnPage crawler followed the site's own links and reached 150 URLs before hitting its 150 page limit. 111 of them answered with a 301 redirect, because internal links point at .html addresses. 0 duplicate titles, 0 non-indexable pages, onpage score 96.99. It also found a page the sitemap omits: /water-heater-garbage-disposal.
These are the searches an Indianapolis customer types. The site ranks for none of them in the top 50.

13 findings, in the order we would tackle them. Severity is how much it matters; the tag names the kind of problem.
The town pages use relative links such as contact.html. From /locations/avon-in/ that resolves to /locations/avon-in/contact.html, which redirects to a page that does not exist. We tested one town page in a real browser: 31 of its 35 relative links, including About, Services and Contact, ended on a 404, while the phone links still worked. All 100 of 100 town pages carry the same relative Contact link, so we expect the same result on each, but we browser-tested only the one. A visitor who lands on a town page from Google can still call, but the contact form is out of reach from there.
Across 125 live map searches (25 points x 5 terms), Robinsons Heating & Cooling appeared in 4, all at the single point nearest Southport, ranked 11 to 14. It did not appear in the results returned for the other 24 points. The Google listing exists and is claimed, so this is a visibility problem, not a missing profile.
We checked 6 searches on a mobile device: five Indianapolis terms and one "near me" term. The site does not appear in the 49 to 50 organic results returned for any of the 6. The searches carry roughly 2,350 monthly searches between them.
Pages for 100 Indiana towns share one layout and 72 percent of their five-word phrases once the town name is swapped (eight random pairs, 70 to 75 percent), and about 91 percent of the characters match. Your nine main pages share only 10 to 26 percent with each other, so they read as their own copy. Southport has a page, but there is no Indianapolis page, the biggest market named in your own schema. Google can treat place-name swaps as thin or doorway content, which is a risk to weigh before adding more of them.
The sitemap names 9 URLs. The site also serves a blog, 100 town pages and a service-area index, none of them in the sitemap, which also carries no last-modified dates. Our crawl reached 136 distinct addresses; the sitemap covers 9. Google lists town pages anyway (27 distinct town URLs appeared in our samples), but 8 of the 9 sitemap URLs are .html addresses that redirect.
Requesting the http address returns the page directly with no redirect to https and no HSTS header. Mozilla Observatory grades the site F (score 5). Browsers usually upgrade the connection themselves, which is why it does not look broken.
The footer carries no privacy or terms link, and the addresses /privacy and /terms both return a 404. The site collects names and phone numbers through its contact form and runs a chat widget. What Indiana law and the ad platforms require is a question for a lawyer, but visitors, Google and most form and chat vendors expect a policy to exist.
The page code marks the site as a Zing build. The contact form posts to an app hosted on Railway and the chat widget loads from a Vercel app named for Zing, with Cloudflare analytics alongside. That is normal for a managed builder, but it means your leads and visitor data pass through third-party servers set up by the platform, and we expect changes to the site to go through Zing's team, and whether the Cloudflare account is yours decides what can be changed at the edge. Zing's public site (zing.work) describes a done-for-you service and mentions no API, code export or server access, though one page does not prove none exists.
The crawl flagged 8 pages whose canonical tag names an address that redirects. On the inner pages we checked, the canonical is the .html address, which answers with a 301 to the extensionless one. Google usually works it out; it is still avoidable noise.
Robinsons has 8 reviews at 4.5. The businesses holding the most #1 spots carry far more (table above). Review volume is one of the few levers an owner controls directly.
The "Read the published review" link on the homepage goes to Angi's category page for appliance repair in Atlanta, Indiana, not to a review. A proof link that proves nothing is worse than none.
We saw no CAPTCHA or Turnstile in the page code, and it submits by script to the site builder's endpoint. Server-side filtering would not be visible to us. Spam is the likely cost, not a breach.
Mobile PageSpeed scored 81 to 88 across repeated runs on 25 October with layout shift 0, but the main content took 3.8 to 4.9 seconds to appear (Google calls 2.5 seconds good), so speed is acceptable rather than strong. Across all 150 crawled addresses, none lacks an h1, none is non-indexable, and the crawl found no duplicate titles or descriptions. The pages carry HVACBusiness schema, and none of the 11 pages we read at page level is missing alt text or carries a noindex tag.
The site is a done-for-you build by Zing, served through Cloudflare, and Zing's own site lists no API, code export or server access. We expect changes to go through Zing's team; whether the Cloudflare account is yours decides what we can change at the edge. The domain was registered 13 February 2025 and its nameservers are Cloudflare's. Some fixes live in the builder, some in Cloudflare, some with you.
| Fix | Who can do it |
|---|---|
| Ask customers for Google reviews | You, today |
| Angi link, form protection, page copy | Zing, on your request |
| Privacy policy and terms pages | You and a lawyer write them; Zing publishes them |
| Force HTTPS, security headers | Whoever holds the Cloudflare account |
| Sitemap contents, canonical tags, town-page menu links | Zing, or a site you control |
| Google listing categories and service area | You, with the profile login |
9 steps, in the order we would do them.
The foundation is sound: a claimed profile, a site with sound basics, honest content. What is missing is reach, and with 42 businesses sharing the top spots no single business dominates the grid. Happy to walk through any of it on a call.
